Tips for New Users

When you sign up for a Yahoo Group, you will be given several options to choose from as to how you would like to receive posts from the group. The following options are available:

No Email: You will receive no email whatsoever. You will have to actually go the Yahoo website and sign in each time you want to read the posts. You have to make all postings from the Yahoo website if you choose this option.

Individual Emails: You will receive every single post to the group as individual emails delivered to your personal email address. This option is only suggested for those who like to get a lot of email or those who are currently an active member of the group. If you choose this option, you will get a lot of mail on a daily basis. A plus side is that you can simply hit "reply" to respond and post messages directly from your email program.

Daily Digest: The Daily Digest sends all the posts from the day in one lump email. This reduces the amount of mail that gets delivered to your box, but the downside is that it can be somewhat confusing to scroll thru the messages and figure out who is responding to who and what messages are the original and what messages are the ones being answered.

Special Notice: Those who choose this option will get no emails except for those that are sent as a Special Notice. This might include emergency needs, special studies taking place, or programs that may be airing on TV, etc.

Changing Your Status or Removing Yourself From The Group:
If you would like to change the way you receive posts (example: from individual emails to no emails), please click here to sign into Yahoo Groups.

Once signed in, if you are already a member, you will be directed a page entitled "Edit Membership" You may use the drop-down menu under the "Message Delivery" section to change your group settings for receiving the posts. Please use the guidelines above to understand what each setting is for. Remember, "individual emails" means that you will receive an email for EVERY POST that is posted to the Support Group. The "Daily Digest" is a popular setting, as it sends one email with the day's postings in it.

If you wish to be removed or deleted from the group, please click on the "Leave Group" button at the bottom of the same page.
